WMG 2024 YOUNG ARTISTS CONCERT was presented on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the New Rochelle Public Library.  Students in Grades 7–12 were selected by audition to perform on this special recital. Below is the concert program presented by these very talented young musicians. (All selections are for solo piano except where noted.)

WMG opened the 2021–2022 season with our first in-person concert since the pandemic shut-down. Expanding Musical Horizons: East Meets West was presented at the Will Library on October 24, 2021. The program opened with long-time WMG member Pamela Sklar, flutist and composer, performing Three Improvisations for flute and Native American Flute. The second portion of the program featured WMG member  Satyaki Dutta, who plays the sarod. (Sarod, a North Indian classical instrument originating from the lute family, is a fretless melodic instrument with eight main strings and fifteen additional sympathetic strings.) Satyaki was accompanied by guest artist Vikas Yendluri on tabla (Indian twin hand drums).

The WMG  2020 WINTER CONCERT & PARTY was held on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club. The program was a tribute to world-famous violinist and teacher MAESTRO AARON ROSAND  (husband of WMG member Christina Khimm Rosand). Several of Maestro Rosand’s violin students performed. A reception followed the concert.

The Guild’s September 2019 Fall Concert featured DUO STEPHANIE & SAAR  (WMG pianists Saar Ahuvia and Stephanie Ho) in a program of music for piano four-hands.

Our 2019 Winter Concert (January 6, 2019) was a tribute to our dear member, Josephine Caruso. With a focus on the American Songbook, the program featured the Victor LaGamma Jazz Trio, followed by performances by WMG vocalists.

Our September 2018 Fall Concert was a very special event: a tribute to long-time member Mary Tanenbaum, who passed away last February. The musical portion of the afternoon featured a trio sonata by Handel (performed by WMG members Rita Kuo, pianist; Pamela Sklar, flutist; and Dorothy Duncan, clarinetist); three solo piano works by Rachmaninoff, performed by WMG member Sayuri Iida; Mary’s son David Tanenbaum, guitarist, performing a new work by Aaron Jay Kernis (with the composer in attendance); and jazz pianist Valerie Capers  and bassist John Robinson performing Bernstein and Timmons. Mary’s son Jacob gave a moving tribute to his mother in his closing comments.
Following the concert, the performers and audience enjoyed a festive reception, with delicious food and a wonderful ambiance for socializing.

Our 2017 Winter Concert and Party (Sunday, January 8, 2017) was a special event: a celebration of music for organ, held at the Church of the Holy Family in New Rochelle. A festive reception in the holiday-decorated Rectory followed the concert.

The Westchester Musicians Guild opened the 2016-2017 season with our Fall Concert on Sunday, September 25, 2016. The musical portion of the afternoon featured Trio d’été: Rebecca Eckfeld, violin; Carole Tilson, cello; William Eckfeld, piano.

The trio performed three works:  Fantasy Pieces, Op. 88 by Robert Schumann; Three Nocturnes, by Ernest Bloch; Trio Fantasy, by William Eckfeld.
A festive reception followed the concert.
